OUR COMPANY HISTORY

Prime Transport was established in June 1991 and Prime Transport became involved with the Moving and Freight Forwarding industry in general quite by accident.

Initially, we served as an airfreight de-consolidator on behalf of an old friend in the U.K. who had just started up the air-freight division for a large moving company. We started out by passing over documents to other brokers; However as some of the moving companies discovered that we were customs brokers, they started to entrust us with their customs clearances.

Through these opportunities Prime Transport was able to demonstrate best in class service and we transform to become who we are today, specialized in all aspects of Freight Forwarding, International Trade Services and Customs Brokerage.

Fifteen years later we continue to serve many of our loyal customers who have been with us since our early days. We are very proud of the customer relationships that have been forged and we value our customers who have been with us over the long term.

Our interface with the International Trade Industry has continually evolved. After attending our first moving convention and several International Trade Shows, we quickly realized that we could play an integral role in expediting the flow of diverse products by air and sea.

Today, we have an extensive and trustworthy chain of agents and partners around the globe and represent roughly 30 moving companies all over the United States. We feel we are unique as a Customs Broker in that we offer Sunday services as a matter of routine and we work with Customs around the clock, if required, seven days a week.

We are able to provide detailed and personalized service because we own and operate our own fleet of high cube trucks as well as, operating our own warehouses located next to the airports in New York, Baltimore and Miami. These capabilities give us an advantage over the competition in that we can offer same day deliveries within our delivery radius as well as saving our customers thousands of dollars in demurrage fees, which continue to climb to all-time highs. Our ability to give personalized and detailed attention to shipments and anticipate Customs and carrier problems before they occur to save valuable free time sets us apart from the competition.
